2024 PA Arts Advocacy Day
March-ing to $15 Million!

Citizens for the Arts in Pennsylvania, in partnership with the Legislative Arts & Culture Caucus members, is advocating for a $5.4 million increase in the Grants to the Arts line item in the 2024-2025 state budget. This will be the first increase since the 2015-16 budget, and will restore the funding level to where it was in 2009.
While we are excited about this positive movement, we recognize that this may not be enough for arts organizations across the commonwealth trying to keep up with the rising cost of inflation and expenses of operating post-pandemic.

Schedule of events (tentative) Tuesday, March 12- Advocacy Webinar
- We will be hosting an advocacy webinar to share our goals for this year and answer any questions you might have about advocating for the arts locally, at the state level, or even nationally!
- If you register to attend advocacy day and elect to participate in legislative visits at the capitol, we will extend the meeting to discuss the schedule of events, take a deeper look into how to advocate in-person, and answer any specific questions you may have. We want you to feel as comfortable and prepared as possible!
- 8:30am-9:30am - Arts Advocacy Day Breakfast with the Arts & Culture Caucus
- Kick off advocacy day with breakfast & legislative networking, and a brief press conference
- 10:00am-4:00pm - Legislative meetings
