Pennsylvania Statewide Arts & Economic Prosperity 5 Study
Arts & Economic Prosperity 5: PA (AEP 5:PA) is Citizens for the Arts in Pennsylvania's fourth economic impact study of the commonwealth's nonprofit arts and cultural organizations and their audiences. The data collected is impressive - the nonprofit arts & culture industry in PA (FY 2015)
- generated over $3.4 BILLION in total economic activity which, in turn,
- supported over 100,000 full-time equivalent jobs, yielding $2.2 billion in household income, and
- delivered $402 million in state and local government revenue
Different from other economic analysis reports, this report localized research that focuses only on Pennsylvania arts organizations and also incorporates the spending of their audiences when determining the overall economic impact.
AEP 5: PA demonstrates to public policymakers that arts and culture are instrumental in economic development and proves the arts mean business.
