2009 Arts Advocacy Campaign
On February 5, 2009 Governor Edward G. Rendell presented his FY2009-10 Pennsylvania State Budget recommendations to a joint session of the General Assembly. His recommended budget included $14 million in grants to arts organizations for the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.
Citizens for the Arts in Pennsylvania has assembled materials to help you in your advocacy efforts to secure this $14 million arts grants line item. Please let us know when you've made contact with a legislator as we are tracking support. You can send an e-mail to Jenny Hershour at jlh@citizensfortheartsinpa.org. - Advocacy Commitment Form - you can let us know what you are willing to do during this 2009 Advocacy Campaign. Please take a look and make a pledge to work towards fulfilling our goal of $14 million for PCA arts grants.
